 "What are after-market replacement electrical contacts?"
"Our after-market replacement electrical contacts are privately manufactured by Precision Electrical Contact Company and our associates. They are equal to, and in some cases exceed, the Original Equipment Manufacturers specifications."
- "Do you deal in other renewal parts such as coils?"
No. At Precision Electrical Contact Company our speciality is the private manufacturing of new, and the retiping/refurbishing of used, hard to find, or obsolete electrical contacts.
- "Do you sell new contactors, motor starters, etc?"
Again, no. Precision Electrical Contact Company is not associated or aligned in any way with any Original Equipment Manufacturer. We are therefore unable to furnish quotations on any O.E.M. products.
- "Do you furnish new hardware such as springs and screws?"
Our new after-market electrical contact kits are shipped with springs and screws IF the O.E.M. furnishes this hardware with their replacement kits. However, please note that when retiping/refurbishing used, hard to find, or obsolete electrical contacts this is not always possible. A good rule of thumb would be for you to save your old springs and screws whenever possible, especially when sending us sets for retiping/refurbishing.
- "Is it possible to get a quotation before I send you a used set for retiping/refurbishing?"
Absolutely! Simply inspect your used set to ensure that they are repairable and shoot us an eMail, FAX (505) 887-7258, or give us a call at (505) 885 - 5069 and get to know us. We are always happy to furnish a quotation before beginning any job.
- "How do I send my used sets to you for retiping/refurbishing?"
We have found that UPS is generally the quickest, most reliable, and least expensive. The good old U.S.Postal Service is another good bet. Most customers prefer to save their sets untill they have accumulated three or four sets. This saves even more on freight.
- "How do you ship my new after-market sets or return my retipped/refurbished sets to me?"
We use regular UPS ground almost exclusively unless instructed otherwise. Other options include UPS Blue, UPS Red, Fed-Ex and U.S.Postal Service per your preference.
- "Where do you ship?"
We ship anywhere in the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada. We regret that we are unable to ship "overseas" at this time.
- "Will I be charged for freight?"
Yes. All quotations and invoices will be F.O.B. Shipping Point, No Freight Allowed.
- "What is your normal turn-around time on retiping/refurbishing jobs?"
Generally, we can have up to four 3 Pole kits retiped/refurbished and ready to return ship to you within 24 hours after we receive them. In the event problems arise, you will always be notified and we will then proceed per your instructions.
- "How much can I save over O.E.M. Replacement Contact Sets by using Precision Electrical Contact Company?"
That's a hard one! Our prices fluxuate with the energy and metals markets but you can generally expect to save 30% when purchasing our new after-market sets, and up to 50% on retiping/refurbishing jobs. Again, we are always happy to furnish a quotation on any job.
